Self-taught hyper-realist portrait painter, Val Escoubet, comes from a French artistic background which at a very young age allowed her to acquire the basics of drawing and pictorial techniques. She highlights posture and emotion captured in the daily life of women, men and children. Most of the time, her models are painted in black and white nuances to underline the contrast with colorful backgrounds. Val draws her biggest inspirations from street art and fashion illustration.
