Michael Sowa is regarded as a 'master of comic art'. His paintings are characterised by subtle humour and a skillful Old Master's style of painting. Michael Sowa, born 1945, lives in Berlin and is one of the most renowned artists in Germany. He drew for the satirical magazine Titanic, for the legendary The New Yorker, for Die Zeit, and for countless book projects. He became known to a large audience through his postcards, published by Inkognito, and especially through his contribution to the film set for the French film Amélie -The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain, as well as for Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
