Kevin Brent Morris didn't pick up a brush until his late 30s, and hasn't put one down since. A self-taught colorist working primarily in acrylic, he paints the small, seemingly insignificant things most people walk past: flowers, beetles, interior scenes of domestic life. His style pulls from Nabis, Fauvism, and Pop Art, giving everyday subjects a presence and depth they rarely get. He paints from home with his kids running around with joyful attention to life in every piece.
