José Luis Guerrero was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. His pieces can be defined as collages, mixtures of artworks from various epochs that he then de-contextualized and vandalized. By doing this, they can have a very different meaning from the original one; sometimes they even symbolize an opposite sense. These collages are based on the premise that one can “gather two known ideas to get a new one.”
