Each painting Cody DeLong does springs from an idea that he has about his subject. He is not a formulaic painter, meaning he doesn't use the same approach for each painting he does. This is sometimes a risky way of working, but it's what keeps his love for the process alive. He hopes to catch your eye and make you think differently about the scene, and perhaps, about painting.
