Born in Hong Kong and currently based in Tokyo, each original piece takes over a month to complete and are held by galleries and collectors all over the world. One of the most hypnotic steps to witness in Wong’s process is his mixture of paint. Creating a spectrum of his own unique hues, he often adds glitter for a subtle sparkle.
Love the fluid movement of Wong’s art? Watch the colors dance across the canvas. Using a pouring medium and a deliberate stroke of paint, he airbrushes the mixture to create soft, organic shapes.
Onto the finer details. Wong continues to build depth into his work by painting directly onto the canvas, emphasizing the flow he’s created.
The art is then layered with varnish to protect what’s underneath and give it a glossy finish.
