Ars Fantasio
Residing in Germany, Ars Fantasio creates digital art of popular movie and video game characters in unexpected outdoor scenes and detailed portraits. Ranging from otherworldly adventures to alluring leading ladies, his pop culture depictions are full of fascinating elements.
Inspired by artists painting monsters onto thrifted art, his fantasy worlds and twists on classics offer a unique view of recognizable faces combined with unpredictable settings and scenery. From a Super Mario still life to Cowboy Bebop in the snow to Jean-Luc Picard as a Saint Bernard, we think his artwork can be an interesting way to create an eye-catching and imaginative atmosphere. If his work seems familiar, you may have seen his creations for publishers such as Randomhouse, Harper Collins, and Weltbild.
Ebuka Emmanuel
Residing in Nigeria, Ebuka Emmanuel creates hyperreal, ballpoint pen illustrations of portraits and elements of nature full of movement and striking facial expressions. Exploring black identity and pride globally, his creations express “ideas contradicting beauty, culture and nature in a sense of Afro surrealism”.
Featuring a mostly blue color palette and an incredible array of details, his pieces portray a mix of powerful emotions and human connections. From the beauty of dreads to lonely frogs to Don Jazzy and Rema, his prints catch eyes. Making his artwork a wonderful way to create an introspective yet expressive atmosphere.
Sophie Wainwright
Residing in the UK, Sophie Wainwright creates mixed media art of cities featuring famous and flashy Broadway signs, along with noteworthy scenes from famous films. Wanting to convey a sense of place, she’s especially drawn to “buildings which have history combined with a touch of glamour and charisma”.
Inspired by urban architecture, she adds elements of glowing lights and recognizable buildings that give off a sense of familiarity with a touch of excitement. From Ghost the Musical to a Beauty And The Beast scene to the St Pancras train station, we think her artwork can be a delightful way to create a lively and sophisticated atmosphere.
