David Shepherd creates ethereal hyperrealism paintings of women’s eyes and faces surrounded by flowers. First influenced by Rembrandt and Salvador Dalí, his subjects’ identities are often hidden, leaving room for the “viewer to fill in a story, and appreciate each model regardless of who they are.” From reshaping yourself to the end of summer to dark sparkles, we think his artwork can be a wonderful way to create a dreamy and intimate atmosphere.
