Art for a Cause: iCanvas and TotalLink2 Community
At iCanvas, we believe that art and creative expression is such an important part of life – that’s why we aim to give back to our community through important causes. We’re excited to partner with TotalLink2 Community, a local organization, to give back in a meaningful way. Keep reading to learn more about this wonderful partnership.
What is TotalLink2 Community?
TotalLink2 Community is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the north suburbs of Chicago. Making a meaningful impact, they provide a “wide range of person-centered services that promote employment, independence, and strong social connections in our home communities”.
Their dedication to empowering these individuals to contribute to their communities is something we admire and appreciate.
How Does iCanvas Work with TotalLink2 Community?
Wanting to work with this amazing organization and help contribute to a meaningful cause, we partnered with TotalLink2 Community to spread the importance of art and creativity for all.
Donating Returned Prints
Every quarter, iCanvas donates 70-100 returned prints to TotalLink2. Not only does this help us extend the lifetime of our prints, but it also helps us promote sustainability. These prints are covered with a special white paint, providing a clean slate for the artists at TotalLink2 to create their own masterpieces. Sparing them the need to spend their money on costly art supplies, we’re honored to provide these canvases for them.
Encouraging Artistic Expression for All
We believe that creativity and art is a beautiful thing for anyone and everyone; we love the idea of our prints being reused with these individuals’ paintbrushes and artistic visions. Not only do they get to create their own piece of work, but they also get the opportunity to showcase their art in various events. We’re proud and excited to see their creations, and we appreciate the chance to make an impact in our local community.
