5 Questions with Sean Ellmore
iCanvas artist Sean Ellmore creates pop culture portraits of iconic celebrities, characters and political figures. Constantly inspired by music and the concept of celebrity, he captures each subject down to their most recognizable characteristics and styles.
A recent graduate of The University of the Arts based in Philadelphia, Sean has already gained notoriety for his uncanny recreations of the stars — including from his subjects themselves. Some of his ongoing collaborations are with the likes of MTV, Ozzy Osbourne, and one of his biggest inspirations, Miley Cyrus.

What band or musician would you listen to while creating your art?
Either Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus – depends on my mood!
If you could master any other form of creative expression, what would it be?
I don’t think I’d master anything – I enjoy the process of experimenting and learning.
What is one person, one place, and one object that inspires you?
Miley Cyrus, New York City, and Shoes!
What is something about you that others may be surprised to learn?
I like all kinds of music, not just pop!
