James Gurney, Jennifer Gennari, Karin Jurik, Mary Cassatt, Alphonse Mucha.


What band or musician would you listen to while creating your art?

Systema Solar and Antônio Carlos Jobim are two that set the tone.


If you could master any other form of creative expression, what would it be?

Hard to choose between dancing and writing.


What is one person, one place, and one object that inspires you?

My children are a constant inspiration to me, being out in nature always inspires me, and objects with sinuous lines like vintage rotary dial phones.


What is something about you that others may be surprised to learn?

At one point in my life, I pursued being a singer songwriter instead of being a painter. Having children made me revisit my priorities and focus on painting. I still sing and play when I have time.
