4 Artists Who Create Drawings

These artists create drawings in four different ways. Given their unique life experiences and artistic journeys, we’d expect nothing less! From edgy and bold to introspective and expressive, we’re taking a look at art from four artists who create hand illustrated masterpieces.

With tools ranging from graphite pencils to ink pens to charcoal and more, hand drawings require an intense precision and skill. Drawings have been around for 70,000 years; what started as simple geometric forms has evolved into an incredible range of subject matter today, and we see artists diving into incredible details in their creations. Whether it’s patterned faces or city views, these four artists create drawings in different ways.

From hyperrealistic portraits to tattooed icons, the work from these artists can bring dramatic intrigue or erotic minimalism to your space. From ballpoint pen illustrations to ink and pencil drawings, keep scrolling to find a new favorite artist.

1. Inked Ikons | Pop Culture Artist

Inspired by punk rock and pop culture, Ireland-based artist Inked Ikons’ ink art and pencil drawings feature famous faces reimagined. Depicting iconic musicians, popular movie characters, and other recognizable legends with intricately realistic details, he often places unexpected punk tattoos on their bodies. Whether it’s a skull chest tattoo or a fully inked sleeve, we love the hardcore spin he puts into his portraits.

From Audrey Hepburn with a full arm of tattoos to an inked Michael Scott as “Prison Mike”, we think his artwork can be a cool way to add edgy and bold energy to your space. Inked Ikons is known as a pioneer for the “punk edit movement” and has been featured in Tattoodo.
